Five Added to Crandon "Big House" Off-Road Record Book

CRANDON, Wis. - Five premier off-road racers have been added to the Crandon Record Book following two events in 2008 at the famous off-road raceway.

The 2008 record-setters are led by a trio of Cup winners. Kent Brascho, Pell City, Ala., entered the books for winning the 2008 Forest County Potawatomi Chairman's Cup in June. It was Brascho's first FCP Cup win his Lucas Oil Goodyear PRO 4x4 Chevrolet.

Jeff Kincaid, Argonne, Wis., repeated as the winner of the 2nd Annual FCP "Decision at Sundown" PRO Light Pickup Challenge Cup race, held at the BorgWarner World Championship Off-Road Races®. Kincaid also claimed the Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing PRO Light Pickup class championship driving his Traxxas® Forest County Potawatomi BFG Toyota Tacoma.

Scott Taylor, Belvidere, Ill., capped the year at Crandon and the WSORR season by winning short course off-road racing's premier event - the BorgWarner Shootout. It was the second BorgWarner Cup win for Taylor who also performed the feat in 2002.

Taylor enters the record again when he qualified for the Shootout by setting the fastest lap of all time in a PRO 2WD race truck around Crandon's 1.5-mile track in his Skyjacker BFG Ford F-150.

Johnny Greaves, Abrams, Wis., also set a new fastest lap record at Crandon during the 2008 BorgWarner World Championships. Driving his Monster Energy Forest County Potawatomi BFG Fox Toyota Tundra, Greaves time of 1:22:66 is the new all time single lap mark.

Also new to the record books is PRO Super Buggy racer and reigning Crandon World Champion Tim Lemons, Harrison Twp., Mich. Lemons laid down the fastest PRO Super Buggy race all time for the class at Crandon.

Crandon International Off-Road Raceway will host of pair of WSORR race weekends in 2009. The track paid out in excess of $280,000 to racers this past season. 2009 marks a special 40th Anniversary of short course off-road racing at Crandon.
